Make your pumpkin spice latte at home this year

Make your pumpkin spice latte at home this year

You don’t need to go spend $6 to enjoy that pumpkin spice latte you’ve been waiting for all year, and the best part is… free refills. We know we could go for two or three, no shame. Ideally you’d use some shots of ‘spro but we’ll assume you don’t have an espresso machine at home (if you do, even better)

This year, grab some extra tasty coffee – we have some great options picked out for you that make an excellent pumpkin spice – and give it a try at home, it only takes ten minutes. Here’s all you need to know.

Makes two servings.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 Cups milk (we recommend whole milk, for a number of reasons, but you can use whatever you prefer. Non-dairy works too!)
  • 2 Tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tsp pumpkin pie spice.
  • 1 Cup coffee or 2oz espresso (see our recommendations above, we like a good espresso blend)
  • 1 whipped cream (or more, you do you)

How to make it:

Mix milk, sugar and pumpkin puree in a saucepan over medium heat until hot, but not boiling. Remove from heat, add vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and whisk until frothy. Add the mix to the coffee. Pour into your favorite mug, add whipped cream and sprinkle more spice on top to taste and serve!

I made this with the Creamery Blend from Ruby Roasters. It was good, and a good drink to make at home. Doesn’t quite beat getting one in a cafe with espresso but a good recipe to hang on to. Thanks for posting this
